Submissions

On this Page, every day can be Create-Your-Own ¡Extran Hero! Day.  Here you will find reader submissions gathered either during informal hangouts or sent digitally.  If you'd like to submit your own ¡Extran Hero! entry, I will happily put it on the blog.  The instructions are:
1) Draw your ¡Extran Hero! on a spiral notepad (if possible)
2) Take a photo against a well-lit surface
3) Take a photo of yourself holding your ¡Extran Hero! drawing!

Jacqueline Troutman, Fulbright ETA in Ulm, Germany and writer of the hilarious and often poignant travel blog Jacked, shares tales of her visit to Barcelona with her brother and why it's wise to toss the guidebook and create your own experiences.   (April 30, 2012)
